In the past few days, my mind has been anxiety, unawareness, and stressed…although I want to be calm a little bit, I still am shaking. I much remember Nông Sơn, calm and peaceful, those what are I feel from there.
When I first time came to this place, a sense of peace already appeared in my mind. I love that country side.
Certainly, there will be some places else which are more beautiful, for me Nông Sơn is a country side of much beauty, peace, and those people here are so lovely and hospitality.
Those experiences there for me were new, very strange, but lovely and I loved this feeling.
In the early morning, while I were chanting, you was listening an observe everything. I had a chance for walking meditation around hermitage with you, it was so interesting I had never done that before. How happiness and extraordinary were.
The dogs barking did not make me be shaking, I just paid attention on every of my steps, every of my breathing in – breathing out in present moment. Suddenly I reminded myself to the song you sang frequently, “if our minds were without attachment, we are equanimity in our daily life.” Although we are not really being equanimity in our daily life, only two days, for me that was the most beautiful time, I seemed to be afraid to lose that short time so I tried to enjoy all of that time and dimension of that country side.
On the next morning, while you was bowing Buddha, I was watching Buddha. I walked around the yard and visited the field in the early morning, to look out and memorize all the peaceful view there. The sound of the bell and wooden drum echoed in the early foggy morning as waked up every of our delusions in our minds, to remind us coming back to the present moment.
Leaving Nông Sơn, there was something that I had still attached to. In the bus backed to the city, I tried to enjoy to anything that still remained from the atmosphere and the view for later if I’d have the chance to meet or someone to tell me about this place I would not be surprise, but recognized that: well, Nong Son! I have been in this place, and loved it as much as I could say.
How much I missed Nông Sơn. I promised to see again Nông Sơn! I hoped that I would see Nông Sơn again in the shortest time. I however have known that I won’t have a chance to come back to Nong Son, and even if I had once everything then had changed due the time’s passed by as we’ve known like a proverb “you can’t bathe in the same river twice”.
