In my opinion, its necessary to define the role of each examiner. For example, who is responsible for content or grammar checking, etc. I dont have discrimination, but I prefer QB people (or more specific QBO members such as Rec, Math0, etc.) to be responsible for post content. I mean, QB people can understand and feel better about what contestants try to express.

I totally agree with hxl about the roles of judges. I think that these first two ("foreign" ) judges should be responsible for the grammar and writing style (due to their experiences in English environment). The last three (out of five) should be some active, experienced members of this forum who know Quang Binh well enough to understand the contestant's ideas.

Tocxu said me that you agreed to be a secretary of the judge committee. It is really a big help because you will be busy in the next time. I’m really glad about that. The same as judges, your profiles should be exposed. If you agree with my suggestion, please send them to me by email (have you got it?) or post them up by yourselves.

HXL, your suggestions are really sensible. We (Tocxu and I) have thought about what you mean. So we have more considered about the judge committee before we are looking for people to help us by being the contest’s judges. However, I would like to repeat that the main purpose of the contest is to create an environment that contestants can practise in English so that they become better (Contest’s slogan is “make yourselves better”). For this reason, I really appreciated fluent in English of the judge committee.

I said that because I saw two 'foreign' judges that they have no relationship with QB. One more suggestion, contestants also have a chance to win the prize from QBO members. It means, when these essays are public on QBO, QBO members can vote for their favorite essay (like Miss Contest ;))

No, they are. They love QB as well as QBO. As we know that "The QBO is an online community of young people who love Quang Binh and want to contribute to the development of this poor land".

One more suggestion, contestants also have a chance to win the prize from QBO members. It means, when these essays are public on QBO, QBO members can vote for their favorite essay (like Miss Contest ;))

Great idea, L. But we also try to find sponsors for these prize. Are you ok?
